Let’s close our eyes, we are in the Far North, large flakes of snow are falling outside.
Ready, enjoy a beautiful piece of toast with smoked salmon, to be eaten in slices as a nibble, or simply as a pick me up on a Sunday night.
Ingredients – Serves 4
- 4 slices of smoked salmon
- 2 tablespoon horseradish
- 300g natural yogurt
- 4 slices of farmhouse bread
- 2 tablespoon Darégal frozen Chives
- 2 tablespoon Darégal frozen Shallots
- 2 tablespoon Darégal frozen Dill
- A few green peppercorns
- Salt, ground pepper
Preparation time: 10 min – Cooking time: 2 min
- Pour the natural yogurt in a bowl.
- Mix together the horseradish, the shallots and the chives. Season well before stirring vigorously.
- Toast the bread.
- Before it gets cold, place on a cutting board and spread the natural yogurt mixture. Season with pepper.
- Cover with smoked salmon and add some green peppercorn and a pinch of dill. It is ready!

Tip
For a more indulgent meal, serve with a salad of mustard flavoured potatoes, herring or smoked trout eggs, and dill.
