Basil is the ultimate summer herb. In fact, its genetics only express themselves fully in warm climatic conditions. This is why our « Herbs Sommelier » has created Assemblages, full of freshness to complement dishes.
A warm and zesty flavour
Being a benchmark, our « Herbs Sommelier » has kept the Genovese Basil as an essential element of this Assemblage. It forms the body of this Assemblage through its warm flavours of cloves, asserting both strength and length on the palate.
In order to cool down the ardour of the Genovese Type Basil, our « Herbs Sommelier » has selected the Lemon Basil. It adds volume to the Assemblage through the fresh notes of lemon juice it releases.
Tasty combinations
The association between the Genovese Type Basil and the Lemon Basil make this Assemblage N°12 the fresh partner of fish and seafood through fiery flavours cooled down by citrus notes.
As a cold application in an olive oil sauce or simply sprinkled before steam cooking, this strong and bold Assemblage is particularly recommended to complement plancha snacked scallops, lobster grilled on the barbecue or white fish cooked en papillote.
